Hola blog reading friends!
Rick and I are back!
Thanks for snapping this picture TJ Simmons!
Since I've been away from the blog Rick and I officially tied the knot!
I haven't gotten the official wedding pictures back yet but when I do,
don't worry they will be up here right away!
Here's a picture of Rick and I with my mom and Dad!
Jack the Ring bearer- my nephew, Helen the flower girl- my niece, Me the bride!, Kate my matron of honor- my sister and Bill my man of honor-best friend!
Dad and I being really stoked to be walking down the aisle to
Digital Underground's Tie The Knot.
So cool. I know.
I also got a bunch of the disposable cameras developed from the wedding so I'll be working on a blog post dedicated to those gems.
The wedding was a hoot! I certainly would have died if I had a normal wedding. This wedding took enough out of me and boy were we unprepared on so many levels. Thank God for my wonderful friends and family helping and working so hard to make it the success it was!
Thanks guys, you know who you are, we couldn't have done it without you!
So after we got hitched we ran off to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon!
The honeymoon will be another whole dedicated blog post! We had a bunch of fun and came home with a new favorite statue of Rick's, some coral and some beautiful larimar jewelry and a killer tan!
Oh! That's our cake topper!
It's starting to look a lot like christmas around here!
Excuse the mess! But trust me I rather the boxes and cardboard laying around the house from unpacking Christmas goodies than all the dust from construction! It's a nice break!
It all started because of this bad boy!
I found this beaut of a 12 foot tall Christmas tree for a steal of a deal on
craigslist and when I brought it home I had to put it up and show Rick what I bought!
Then we just couldn't justify putting back in the boxes!
We're still working on it! we need more ornaments, a topper and a better skit!
Oh yeah and a bunch more PRESENTS!
By the way, thrift stores are the bomb dot com for getting cool cheap ornaments!
After taking this picture I realized I need to lean out of the stairs and bend the tree a little at the top! we have it tied to the railings with some fishing line as a safety measure for curious little climbing kitties!
What's crazy is I think we could do a 15 foot tall tree to work even better! FIFTEEN FEET! CRAZY!
Other big things new in the house is this!
A treadmill! It's my birthday and christmas present! Yahoo! I've been begging rick for one because I kind of like to run, but I really hate running in public. So! Now I can grow to love running because no one is watching me and my stupid anxiety won't get in the way!
Our sunroom is being converted into our new "gym" room. I'm kind of bummed out that rick moved all the tools down to the basement. So when we're on the third floor and need something that's three flights of stairs to run up and down for something. Oye!
Although I must admit I sure do like how well organized all the tools are now in the basement!
Wonder how long that will last!
Lastly! We have the bug again! It's home improvement time again!
Since we're turning the sun room into a tv room/ work out room we're turning the extra room on the third floor into an office room for me! Yay! Too bad it's a pretty major overhaul! The walls are rotten and full of horrible insulation that is probably cancerous because it makes us cough all day if we don't pop on ventilator masks right away. But rotten walls have shown us at least 6 feet of more room to each side of the room! Now we're having a hard time deciding what to do. Should we make shorty closets in the room or have super slanted walls or something else or keep it the way it was?
The yellow and grey room is next to the orange room which was/is a tiny kitchen. We're going to get rid of the kitchen and make it a little sitting room. So if we have kids, each kid will have their own little living room and bedroom!
Click on the pictures! They will take you to an interactive panoramic picture!
Enjoy this teaser blog for more to come soon!
I hope you all have had a great month and loved halloween! If we didn't run out of candy as fast as we did I have no doubt that we would have hit one thousand trick or treaters! Crazy!
